I’m absolutely thrilled to share that my client has officially approved the design for their new build at Holly Grange, a stunning development by Bloor Homes in Burtonwood, Warrington! 🙌

This energy-efficient home is all about combining beauty with functionality, and the living room is the heart of it all. Here are some of the highlights:

✨ Multi-Functional Space: The room centres around a versatile L-shaped sofa bed—perfect for transforming the space into a cosy cinema room or accommodating guests during gatherings.

🪑 Bespoke Window Bench: A custom-built bench doubles as a practical storage solution for shoes, plus it’s the ideal spot to soak in the sunlight and relax.

🎨 Colour Palette: We’ve chosen Graceful Green for the walls, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that complements the elegant wood panelling and functional hanging accessories.

💡 Lighting Design: A luxurious ceiling flush lamp paired with strategically placed floor and table lamps creates the perfect mood. A picture light adds a touch of sophistication to the room.

🧵 Textures and Fabrics: Carefully selected materials and fabrics ensure the space is as comfortable as it is stylish.

With the design now finalised, I can’t wait to see this project come to life! 💫 Projects like this are such a joy to work on—creating spaces that are both visually stunning and practical for everyday living.

While going through my computer today, I came across some of my old student projects, and it really took me back.

Even though I’ve moved to the UK, I’m still absolutely in love with how Oriental design mixes with Western elements. One project that stands out is my final one, focused on properties in Lamma Island, Hong Kong. I spent a lot of time on-site, soaking in the environment to create a design that honoured the local culture while giving it a modern, East-meets-West twist. 🌏✨

Every detail in that project was carefully considered. I even designed custom patterns for the rugs, lattice work, and doors to capture the cultural vibe while keeping things fresh and modern. To set the mood, I chose the song Fly (Feat. Parker Polhill) by Fransis Derelle 🎶—it felt like the perfect symbol of freedom and my aspirations in the design world.

I took this photo while hiking at Dovestone Reservoir in the Peak District—a place that always inspires me. The icy frost on the grass, the muted greens, and the soft blues of the sky all came together in such a quiet, effortless way. It’s the kind of scene that makes you pause and take it all in.

Studying the colours in this image, I pulled out a palette—“Snow Drift,” “Jagged Ice,” “Grey Nickel,” and “Woodland.” Isn’t it amazing how a scene like this can inspire an interior design scheme? These tones aren’t just beautiful; they carry a sense of place and memory. Imagine bringing them into a living space—soft blues for a calming bedroom, earthy greens for a grounded living room, or frosty neutrals for a serene workspace.

Colour is such a powerful tool in design—it can transform a space and evoke the emotions we want to feel within it. That’s why I create bespoke designs for my clients, tailoring interiors that reflect their lifestyles, memories, and aspirations.
